Cleaning & Infection Control for Domestic & Housekeepers Course

Good Cleaning Practice

The Cleaning & Infection Control for Domestic & Housekeepers Course

Cleaner Training Re-invented

Introduction

Infections can have such a huge impact on an organisation. As we have seen in the COVID19 pandemic in early 2020, outbreaks can effectively shut down an organisation. Even the annual outbreaks of food poisoning or Flu can cause tremendous harm to the organisation and to the staff and customers. Following an outbreak, how do you handle the cleaning and disinfection? What do you do about cleaning and infection control after the initial deep clean has taken place?

Combining international guidance on infection control and best practice in cleaning, this course teaches cleaners and managers the principles and practice of cleaning and infection control in domestic, residential and housekeeping working environments.

This course is designed to address two vitally important aspects of cleaning and infection control: routine cleaning and disinfection and one-off whole room decontamination. The key to understand effective infection control is to understand that both day-to-day and one-off decontamination works together: routine infection control reduces the likelihood of outbreaks happening in the first place and provides a way to prevent an outbreak reoccurring once whole room decontamination has taken place.

All your tutors and course developers are all professional cleaners and cleaning consultants with many years (20+ years) of practical and professional cleaning experience in a very wide range of industries.

What You Will Get From The Course

Throughout this course students are taught to think and plan cleaning and infection control, rather than approach the tasks blindly from a set of instructions. This enables the student to take a systematic and professional approach in all aspects, and importantly, a fully integrated approach to cleaning and infection control.

Ideal For:

The domestic and carers industry wanting to retrain or expand on their training

Individuals entering the domestic cleaning industry without any prior knowledge of cleaning

Live-in domestic services (au pairs, housekeepers)

Hotels, Hostels, Guest Houses and Bed and Breakfast

In-house cleaning teams wishing to make provision for infection control and be able to provide decontamination

Charities and Social Enterprise organisations looking after vulnerable people and post-outbreak decontamination

Cleaning teams responsible for COVID19, Norovirus or other infecious outbreak decontamination
